It is located in one of the most beautiful locations of the Montenegrin coast, in the hinterland of the ancient settlement of Rose on the Luštica peninsula. On the peninsula, there are well-known beaches Zanjice, Mamula island, Plava spilja, Mirista, Dobrec, Almara, which can be reached by boat, as well as Herceg Novi, to which Captain Miki's boat "Loro" regularly goes. The medieval city of Kotor (UNESCO) is 20 km away. Description: You will like my accommodation mostly because of the landscape and the untouched Mediterranean nature of the place. It is an excellent choice for couples, families with children, and smaller groups. In front of the house there is a garden, a private dock and a small beach. Each apartment (45-75m2) has a separate entrance, bathroom, living room and kitchen, one or two bedrooms, TV and Wi-Fi. The distance from the cafe-restaurant is 3-10 minutes on foot. We can organize transfers from Tivat (20km), Dubrovnik (56km) and Podgorica (112) airports. How to come alone: From the direction of Tivat airport: The distance from Ros is 20 km, and it is necessary to turn right from the airport towards the intersection that separates the roads to Tivat, Kotor, Budva and Lustica. Turning right at that intersection once more, follow the sign for Rosa. From the direction of the airport in Dubrovnik: The first boat that goes from Ros to Herceg Novi is "Loro" at 6:30 a.m., and returns from Herceg Novi to Rose at 7:00 a.m., and the ticket price per person is around 5 euros. From the port of Herceg Novi you can get to Rose "Lorom" as well as other taxi boats that drive towards the Lustica peninsula. The port in Herceg Novi is a 15-minute walk from the bus station in Herceg Novi (down the stairs). Useful information: Rose is a small place that has a shop. Also, every morning around 10:00 a.m., our neighbor Milan comes to the mule next to the parking lot with a white van and sells fresh bread, fruit and vegetables. Most of the locals are waiting for him in one of the nearby cafes drinking coffee and enjoying the morning silence. The third option is to buy groceries at the market in Krašići, on the way to Rose, or to go to the port in Herceg Novi, which is a 15-minute boat ride away. Taxi boats go often. An asphalt road leads through Luštica to Kotor or Tivat as well as to the beaches on the peninsula, winding through hundred-year-old olive groves and villages. In some houses you can buy small quantities of domestic products such as eggs, milk, vegetables, homemade olive oil, the traditional specialty cheese in olive oil, prosciutto, as well as the well-known brandy made from maginja (lat. Arbutus unedo). The patient can wait for the fishing boat that stops in Rose on its way back from the open sea to leave fresh fish, gambores and shellfish for the restaurants. The name of the place comes from the first centuries from the beautiful pale red color of the sunsets at this very entrance to Boka. The Luštica peninsula is so called because it is the sunniest part of the Bay of Kotor (lus - Lustica), it is rich in maquis and in some places there are pines, agaves and oleanders that provide excellent shade and a refreshing smell on hot summer days. There is no water supply system in Lustica, so residents collect rainwater in clarifiers throughout the year, which they use for cooking and other needs. That's why those who have been coming to Rose for years as guests know that everything is possible with their hosts, as long as water is not wasted without attention!
