We are just 5 to 15 minutes drive away from Corfu's most glorious beaches (it depends on the beach, the closest one is the Ermones Beach, only 5 minutes drive away), ancient castles, tourist attractions, coastal ancient villages and the charming villages of Vatos, Kokini, Pelekas, Liapades, Giannades, Marmaro, Gardelades and the famous Doukades village. Our self-catering spacious studios and budget rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. We offer free pick up on arrival to all our guests from the airport, the port or the Green Bus Station, just let us know the arrival details. The prices also include air conditioning, private bathroom and shower, TV, FREE WiFi, beautiful large verandas with amazing views, room cleaning and taxes. We have a lovely pool with a children's section and a pool side bar for you to enjoy all day. This luxury villa provides all the comforts to ensure a pleasant and relaxing holiday. Villa Aloni cans accommodate up to 5-6 people in the 2 spacious bedrooms. All double beds are equipped with mosquito nets, to ensure your uninterrupted sleep. Your stay will enable you to escape from routine, resting by the fire place in the comfortable open-plan sitting room, with a view of the swimming pool and the luxuriant garden, where you can sip your wine, read, play board games or do whatever you like. The name “Aloni “ refers to the circular stone “threshing floor” which is still in the garden. This was used in the past to separate the grain from the chaff. Villa Aloni is situated in Maza, a small village in the Kruoneridas municipality, in the region of Apokoronas in the county of Chania, in Western Crete. Maza is a small village in the foothills of the mountains, with about 100 permanent inhabitants. Maza is situated in an area of great natural beauty, where you can enjoy walks along country lanes among the greenery. There are also several old churches, like St. Nicolas in the village square. There is also a traditional café end two taverna. The village is about 37 km from the town of Chania, 35km from Rethymno and about 40 km from Chania airport Daskalogiannis. Souda, the nearest port is 30 km away. The nearest health centre is in the village Vamos 10 km away and the Lake Kournas is 9 km away. Maza is only a five-minute drive from the traditional village Vrisses 3 km. away, famous from the fresh yogurt. It takes about 10 minute to drive to the nearest beach at Georgioupoli, about 6km away. As regards the county of Chania, it is worth visiting the Samaria Gorge, the White Mountains and numerous traditional villages. In Chania town itself, a visit to the old Venetian harbor with the beautiful Egyptian lighthouse and the nearby Turkish quarters should not be missed. There are plenty of clean, safe beaches for you to choose from in the area. CASTELLO apartments are built on the coastal road and in just 80 m far from the sandy beach which is right in front of us in the PARADISE settlement, well known as FRANGOCASTELLO. The name was established by the existence of the impressive Venetian Fortress which dominates the whole region not only for its history but also for the legends that follow it (for heroes, fatal battles, Drossoulites e.t.c.). Therefore, the apartments' name CASTELLO was given to celebrate the existence of the fortress which indeed is not more than 450 meters far from us. As far as architecture is concerned, we have made in our building a small and characteristic copy of the fortress' turrets. Our unit started with the construction of three apartments as a holiday home for the owner and his two children.. Over a few years, the love and the interest that our visitors expressed for our region imposed the addition of more apartments and therefore their tourist exploitation. Thus, today we have a total of 8 apartments of various types for our guests. Although the apartments are relatively new in their construction, with our participation in two European programs, we renovated, modernized and customized them to fit the demands of a small but completely hospitable unit for foreigners and local guests. The apartments are build in a fenced area of 5000 m2 – especially made for total protection of little children – full of big decorative trees and a stunning variety of flowers.
