A little explanation to tourists regarding the categorization of accommodation:
STUDIO is actually a studio apartment (it's even a Greek word), which means that everything is in one room (kitchen area and beds). The bathroom is of course separate.
APARTMENT is a one and a half bedroom apartment. So it has a bedroom physically separated by a door and another room where there is a kitchen and dining room, there can be beds, but it doesn't have to.
There are also the terms duplex apartments, semi-apartments and rooms.
A DUPLEX APARTMENT would be an apartment with two physically separated bedrooms and a third room where you can find a kitchen, dining room, and beds. The third room should be the living room, but it doesn't have to be.
AND A SEMI-APARTMENT, which would be the same as an apartment, but the bedroom is not separated from the kitchen area by a door, but is physically separated from it in some way.
A ROOM is a room with beds, wardrobes, chests of drawers and similar things, but no kitchen. It can have a refrigerator. And it is characteristic of hotels.
