Agrotourism is a form of resistance to the indiscriminate prevalence of mass, faceless tourism.
Agrotourism will enable visitors to spend their vacation quietly in a natural setting, enjoying the hospitality extended by nature itself and its people.
It will also enable them to come in contact with the traditional lifestyle of villagers, become acquainted with true life experiences (e.g. harvesting of olives or grapes), and take part in cultural tours (e.g. visits to churches, monasteries, monuments) and food and wine tasting sessions (e.g. wineries, local organic products).
Visitors will stay in a plain environment marked with a special local character, comfort, cleanliness and domestic warmth. They will have an opportunity to become acquainted with nature, day-to-day rural life and its tasks, local customs and habits, and participate in such farming activities as the harvesting of olives.
